Description
The Maintenance and Logistics Command Pacific, Naval Engineering Division intends to contract for various repairs and overhauls of USCGC HEALY (WAGB-20). This work is to be accomplished dockside at the ISC Pier 37, Seattle, WA. The ship will be available for ship check 8-10 December 2003 at Todd Shipyards Corporation contact Lt Reemers 206-217-6300. The definite work items include but are not limited to: Incinerator Maintenance, Hydraulic Hatch Maintenance, P/S Knuckle Boom Crane, Boiler Maintenance, Cooler Tube Bundle Renewal, Cooler Condenser Clean and Repair, Incinerator Stack Cleaning, Concrete Decking Repair, 10 ton Science Hoist Repairs, Flight Dk Net Wt Test, J-Bar, Hangar and Science Staging Crane, Dockside Production Control, Temp Services and Boiler Flange Repairs. Period of performance will commence 10 Feb 2004 and concludes 12 March 2003. The contractors will be limited to day shift hours, Monday through Friday for the duration of the availability. Concurrently during the performance period for this availability various other repairs and system grooms will be conducted by other contractors. Solicitation will be issued on or about December 1, 2003 with a proposal closing date of December 31, 2003. This solicitation is a total Small Business Set-Aside. For Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts, loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at the prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000. For further information concerning the STLP call the OSDBU at 1-800-532-1169. The solicitation and specification package (minus any drawings) will be available via electronic means on the FedBizOpps website at www.eps.gov. The specifications package will be posted at www.Fedteds.gov, in order to open and download the specifications, the contractor must register in FedTeds using their CCR data. Email will arrive in 48 hours to contractors authorizing access. A link to the specification will be made available at the www.fedbizopps.gov site when the IFB is posted.
