Description

The 45th Contracting Squadron intends to negotiate a sole source requirement for the continued development and evaluation of a comprehensive two-dimensional Gas Chromatography (GCXGC)/Time of Flight Mass Spectrometer (TOFMS) system for the analysis of target compounds in complex mixtures with the University of Washington. This is a sole source acquistion justified under 10 U.S.C.2304(c)(3) and FAR 6.302-3(a)(ii) permiting other than full and open competition. The contractor will develop an automated graphical user interface (GUI) data analysis system for high throughput analysis of compounds of interest to the United States Air Force (USAF) using two-dimensional gas chromatography/time of flight mass spectrometry (GC x GC-TOFMS). The software will also include tools for data visualization and automation for high-throughput analysis. The GUI data analysis system will contain tools to enable peak detection, visualization, peak deconvolution, mass spectral identification and quantitation. Pending results of the effort, availabilty of funding and evolving programmatic requirements work in the option year will involve developing a portable comprehensive GC X GC/TOFMS system optimized to analyze target analytes of interest to the USAF. The NAIC for this is 541710. No solicitation documents exist at this time. The 45th Contracting Squadron has determined that the University of Washington is the only source capable of providing the necessary service.
