The 175 ton hoists can be bridged with a lifting beam for maximum lifting capacity of 350 ton s per crane. The two 350 ton cranes can be bridged with another lifting beam for 650 ton maximum lifting capacity for the two cranes. (2) The new drive systems for hoists, trolley drives, and bridge drives will include new motors (with shaft mounted encoders for all motors), holding brakes, master switches, dynam ic braking resistors, isolation transformers, and solid state controllers. (3) All drives will be of the flux vector type. All hoists will have load-indicating systems. (4) The trolleys will have new power feed systems. The main conductor system will n ot be replaced. New tandem shoes are to be provided for the main conductor system. Bridge Crane Mechanical/Structural: (1) All hoists will have new motors, reducers, brakes, couplings, and wire rope installed. Tailrace Gantry Crane Mechanical/Structural: (1) The wire rope on all hoists is to be replaced. One gantry drive is missing and the condition of the other is questionable. New gantry drives are to be provided. New drives include new motors, reducers, gearing, bearings, and shafting. Existing wheels and axles will be reused. (2) All hoist and trolley drive reducers, couplings, bearings, etc. are to be cleaned, have oil changed, and relubricated.
