Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Prop osals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The combined Synopsis/Request number is W56HZV-VISIONDOME3. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circula r 90-46, dated 17 Mar 97. The associated standard industrial classification code is 3999, with a size standard of $18.0 million. The requirement is to upgrade the existing VisionDome3 projector and environment. The product requirements include a JVC M20 00L-SC Projector; TopDome set-up hardware; VisionDome3 Lightshell Air-Con; and Replacement Curtain Rod Assembly. The US Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) intends to negotiate solely with Elumens Corporation, 1301 South Briggs Avenue, Suit e 100, Durham, NC 27703-5049 for said products. Delivery of items will be within 6 weeks from contract award date. FOB Destination shall apply. No options will be included. Provision at FAR 52.212-1: Instructions to Offerors ?????? Commercial, applies to this acquisition. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: 1.) technical capability of the services offered to meet the Government??????s requirement; and 2.) price. Offerors are advised to include a complete copy of the Provision at FA R 52.212-3: Offeror Representations and Certifications ?????? Commercial Items. The clause at 52.212-5: Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders ?????? Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The acquisition is rated D04. All contractors must be registered in the Central Contract Registry (CCR) (see website www.ccr.gov for details). Offers are due no later than 12:00 noon, 23 Feb 04.
