Description
The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to acquire Perfusion Services for the Cardiothoracic Surgery Division at the Naval Medical Center, San Diego. The contractor will be required to provide perfusion services for Cardiopulmonary Bypass; Autotransfusion; Ventricular Assist Device, Extra-Corporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO), and Angioplasty. Contractor will also need to be on operating room standby. Fixed price will be based upon a estimated number of procedures required under each service listed above, either on an hourly basis, or by set-up for the procedure. Contractor will be required to perform some general tasks such as providing consultations and recommendations to members of the medical center staff during emergencies; and providing periodic seminars or training sessions to promulgate the training requirements of the medical center technical staff. The contractor will be required to perform more specific tasks such as the above mentioned procedures on an as required basis, and as determined by the Cardiothoracic Surgery Department. This requirement is being solicited as a commercial item acquisition in accordance with FAR Part 12, using simplified acquisition procedures as set forth in FAR Part 13.5. This acquisition will result in the award of a firm fixed price contract. The base period of performance of the resultant contract will begin during FY04. The resultant contract will include provisions for four one-year option periods. The RFQ will evaluate the offerors compliance with health and qualification requirements of its perfusionist(s). The RFQ will also consider the contractor?s past performance and proposed price as evaluation factors. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 621399; size standard $6M. This RFQ will be made available electronically upon its release at www.neco.navy.mil. Paper copies, faxed copies, or e-mail copies of the solicitation will not be provided. Interested parties are solely responsible for monitoring the above website for posting of the RFQ and any amendments thereto. The Government will not pay for information received.
