Description
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) intends to procure services of a contractor to provide site license for software and all components on the IBM 2064 CPUs (742 MSUs) located at Martinsburg Computing Center (MCC). This includes one year maintenance commencing on purchase date. This product must ensure the integrity of the operating system images and Initial Program Load (IPL) environment on the Z900 platforms at MCC, in support of the IRS Business System Modernization (BSM) and ongoing support of the Current Processing Environment (CPE). The product must allow users to have access to MVS when JES, VTAM and TSO are not available. It must allow users to run a virtual IPL prior to initiating an IPL to ensure the process will be successful without disruption to the active environment. It must maintain an audit trail of changes to the image; thereby automating the documentation of changes. It must support scheduling of virtual IPL's on user defined intervals and send alerts to designated users to inform them of problems found. Responses to this notice must be received by 1:00 p.m. on the 5th day of the publication of this synopsis. Responses will be accepted by facsimile at (202) 283-1533. Facsimile responses must contain signatures, arrive at the place and by the time specified in the synopsis and may not exceed 10 pages. The Government will not be responsible for any failure attributable to the transmission or receipt of any facsimile information. No solicitation will be issued; therefore, such request for solicitation will be considered non-responsive.
