Description
The U.S. Army Office of the Project Manager (PM) Combat Ammunition Systems (CAS) and U. S. Army TACOM ARDEC are conducting a Market Survey to identify potential sources for the production of the M762A1 / M767A1 Electronic Time (ET) Fuze for Artillery. The M762A1 and M767A1 are nose-mounted fuzes that provide precision timed airburst and impact detonation capabilities for all fielded and developmental 105mm and 155mm artillery projectiles. The M762A1 is used only with cargo carrying projectiles while the M767A1, with a booster assembly attached to its base end, is used only with High Explosive (HE) fragmentation and bursting type projectiles. Please note: These fuzes are built to Government drawings, marked for distribution D, release limited to Department of Defense components and their contractors. The Technical Data Package (TDP) contains sensitive technology included in the Military Critical Technology List (MCTL); and, is therefore restricted by the Arms Export Control Act Title 22, U.S.C. Sec. 2751 and subject to DoD Directives 5230.24 and 5230.25. Any interested parties must be able to participate within these restrictions. Interested parties that believe they can meet the above requirements shall submit name, address, point of contact, size of business (large or small) and location of the production facility. A brief management summary should also be included to provide an overview of management and corporate structure. The following information should be provided, at a minimum, to demonstrate the firm?s manufacturing capability: Description of the facility to include current major manufacturing processes, critical skills and equipment, and current production capabilities, which should include maximum production rate attainable and minimum sustaining rate. Identify organization?s facilities, equipment, unique capabilities, environmental concerns, storage, shipping, receiving and other support functions. All information must be provided to the Government no later than 1 March 2004. This market survey is for planning purposes only, does not constitute a Request for Proposal, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market survey and will not reimburse any cost incurred to submit the requested information.
