Description

Description: The National Park Service intends to issue a prospectus for a concession contract for merchandise, and food and beverage services within White Sands National Monument on February 18, 2004. The operation is currently located in the Visitor Center complex. The merchandise and food and beverage operation is traditionally open year-round except Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Days. The Director, pursuant to 36 CFR Part 51, has determined that the existing concessioner is not a Preferred Offeror for this contract. One contract will be issued for the above listed services. The length of the new contract will be ten (10) years. Any offer, including that of the existing concessioner, must be received by the Chief, Business Resources Division, National Park Service, Intermountain Region, P. O. Box 25287, Denver, CO 80225-0287 (Federal Express address: 12795 W. Alameda Parkway, Lakewood, CO 80228) no later than ninety (90) days after the release of the prospectus in order to be evaluated and considered for an award of a concession contract to provide these services within White Sands National Monument. The prospectus will be issued February 18, 2004, for a 90-day response period under the terms described in the prospectus, with proposals due on May 18, 2004, no later than 4:00 p.m. There is a printing cost recovery charge of $35 per copy to be delivered via Federal Express or $30 per copy if picked up in person. Checks or money orders (no cash accepted) must be payable to the National Park Service, and you must include a business address (no post office box) to receive a Federal Express package.
