Description

Provide and pay for all materials, labor, plant, tools, supplies, equipment, licenses, taxes, supervision, transportation, temporary construction of every nature and all other services and facilities necessary for the execution, installation, and completion of work/construction of a new USPS owned facility, Vehicle Maintenance Facility, of approximately 17,136 square feet in SPOKANE, WA on USPS owned property of approximately 159,989 square feet. The Work involves the construction of a new facility at location indicated on Drawings. Work includes but is not limited to, earthwork, site utilities and site improvements, paving, landscaping. Work also includes concrete foundations and slab-on-grade, steel structure, steel joists and decking, roof membrane over roof insulation, pre-formed metal roofing, sheet metal, clay masonry, metal stud partitions, insulation, gypsum board walls and ceilings, porcelain tile, acoustical ceilings, resilient flooring, carpeting, ceramic tile flooring, ceramic wall tile, custom cabinets and fixtures carpentry, glass storefront system painting, metal doors, wood doors, metal frames, door hardware, overhead coiling doors, metal fabrications, toilet partitions and accessories, signage, lockers, loading dock equipment, fire protection and detection systems, security systems, electrical, and heating, ventilating, and air conditioning complete and ready for use. Estimated construction cost range is between $2.6 and $3.0 Million. Offers will be made on two performance time options: 180 calendar days; 240 calendar days from the date a Notice-to-Proceed is issued. Include alternate pricing and unit price proposals as indicated on Page 1A, 3 pages. This is an Open Market Solicitation for contractors having experience with similar new construction owned projects. Contractors submitting proposals will be required to submit owner references and project information on three (3) similar construction projects completed since February, 2001. The contractor will provide the following information on each of the three (3) reference projects. 1) The value of the original contract award. 2) The total value of modifications to original contract award. 3) The contract award date. 4) The construction duration period. 5) The project completion date. The contractor must also identify any project completed since February, 2001, that involved the assessment of liquated damages to construction contract. Additional submittal information requirements include financial statements and letters from banks and bonding companies that validate financial capacity.
