Description

The Simplified Acquisition Department, Federal Highway Administration, Western Federal Lands Highway Division is issuing a Request For Quotation packet for a repair of an embankment failure on Forest Highway Road (FDR) 2370 at mp 0.4 within the Olympic National Forest; Project site is approximately 35 miles north of Montesano, Washington; the project consists of mobilization, survey and staking, excavation and embankment, select granular backfill, seeding and mulching, silt fence, geogrid wall, roadway aggregate, culverts and underdrains, geotextile fabric, bedding material, riprap rock for energy dissipators, and traffic control; the description of work will be excavate the road area as required to construct geogrid wall with underdrain system with outfall pipes, install a government furnished drainage culvert, and reconstuct the road surface; complete specifications will be available in the quotation packet; solicitation is prepared in accordance with procedures for solicitation, evaluation, and award as prescribed in FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures; this is a Request for Quotation and is unrestricted; the price range of this project is >$25,000. <$100,000; you can e-mail pmahurin@wfl.fha.dot.gov for a quotation packet; packets will be ready for distribution 3-2-2004; limiting packets to 10
