- Contracting Office Address: Executive Officer for United States Attorneys, 600 E Street NW, Suite 2400, Washington, DC 20530. Description: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in the attachment. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The United States Attorney's Office for the Central District of California (Los Angles) has a requirement to code documents produced in a major fraud investigation. The documents to be coded have been scanned on to compact discs and first need to be converted into searchable text (OCR process). It is anticipated that award will be made February 23, 2004. This notice is prepared in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, NAICS 518210 (541) with size standard 21 M. This procurement is an unrestricted procurement and open to all sized businesses. The solicitation number is RFQ-USA12-4-0043. See ATTACHMENT for the following additional information: Instructions for completion of solicitation package, Schedule of Commercial Services and Prices, Statement of Work and Applicable clauses 52.212?1, "Instructions to Offerors?Commercial Item", 52.212?3 "Offeror Representations and Certifications ?Commercial Items", 52.212?4 "Contract Terms and Conditions? Commercial Items" and 52.212?5 "Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders ? Commercial Items. Offers or quotations will be evaluated on a Best Value basis. "Evaluation-Commercial Items". Quotes are due February 20, 2004 at 12 Noon Eastern Standard Time. LATE Proposals will not be accepted. Quotes shall be sent via courier, hand delivered or faxed to The Department of Justice, Executive Office for the U.S. Attorneys, 600 E Street, NW, Suite 2400, Acquisitions, Facilities Management Support Services, Washington, DC 20530, Attn: Latonca Harris. You may fax your quote to (202) 616-6651. Offerors shall ensure that faxed quotes are LEGIBLE (min.12pt font). Clearly, specifically, and concisely provide the company name, address, contact person, and telephone number. All quotes shall reference: RFQ-USA12-4-0043" on the front of the package/page.
