- Description
- The Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane Division is seeking sources to provide a commercial Acoustic Target System for Code 4081, Crane, NSWC. The system must measure the position on target of all supersonic projectiles to an accuracy of .1 inch. The system should be wireless with a reliable range of at least 1000 meters. The system should be software based to allow installation and use with various computers (laptop and desktop) using Micro Soft Windows operating systems. The system must be easily portable and must come with hard cases for shipping to various locations. The system must be protected from stray small arms projectiles up to and including .50caliber Armor Piercing (AP) and Incendiary Tracer (IT). All downrange components must include a portable, rechargeable power source. It is envisioned that the vendor will provide on-site training to a number of ou r people once the contract is awarded. The government has a need for the system and complete training by May 30, 2004 Responses are required to include the firm name, mailing address, telephone and facsimile numbers, World Wide Web (Internet) presence (if any), size of firm, number of years performing related work and direct points of contact including e-mail addresses. Technical information documenting functional characteristics and test data to collaborate said characteristics should accompany any responses. Only written responses transmitted electronically, or by mail will be accepted. Electronically submitted responses on CD are preferred. Responses to this announcement should be received NO LATER THAN 05 MARCH 2004.
