- Description
- The Department of Justice (DOJ) intends to negotiate with Pitney Bowes, Inc., to extend the term of the DOJ contract 99-C-0123 for mail management, warehousing and related general support services for a period of up to eight months, commencing April 1, 2004. This extension is necessary to allow sufficient time to complete the competition of the follow-on procurement. DOJ has encountered delays in the follow-on procurement that were not anticipated and may require several months to resolve. Contract 99-C-0123 will expire on March 31, 2004, and the (up to) eight month extension will ensure uninterrupted services while the recompetition is completed. The statutory authority for the proposed modification is 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1). This synopsis is issued for informational purposes only and is not to be considered a request for offer-proposal.
