Description
NASA OFFICE OF EXPLORATION SYSTEMS INDUSTRY DAY The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) will present to industry an overview of the organizational structure and management priorities the agency has established to achieve the exploration systems direction contained in the Nation's Vision for Space Exploration. The session will be conducted on March 3, 2004, at NASA Headquarters, James E. Webb Auditorium, 300 E Street SW, Washington DC from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. The objective of the presentation is to familiarize industry with the organizational framework and operating principles to be employed by the NASA Office of Exploration Systems, focusing on integrated requirements development, acquisition strategy formulation, and program execution. The Exploration Systems Enterprise encompasses two themes; namely, human and robotic technology (HRT) and transportation systems (TS). Please note that presentations will be restricted to the concept of operations governing NASA's Office of Exploration Systems activities; specific status of on-going or contemplated contract actions or business opportunities will not be addressed. The presentations will be unclassified. Companies who plan to attend the industry day should respond to Debbie Scrivner (256-651-9095) via email at Debbie.scrivner@msfc.nasa.gov by February 27, 2004. Please provide Company Name and Name/Title of each participant. To accommodate all interested firms, NASA requests that each company business unit or division limit the number of attendees to four (4) people. Registration particulars are as follows: Briefing participants will not be required to check in at the security desk to obtain a visitor's badge. However, participants will be subject to personal inspection, prior to entering the auditorium. NOTE: All responses should be sent to the point of contact provided above (Debbie Scrivner).
