MARKET SURVEY AND REQUEST FOR INFORMATION:&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspInformation is being collected for market survey purposes and not as a request for proposal or as an obligation on part of the Government.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThe Government will not pay for information solicited but is inter ested in world-wide sources.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspPlease identify any proprietary information submitted.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspAll information submitted will be retained in the contract office files as market research, but will not be released to the public.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThere are three items identified in this market survey.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspYou are advised that your firm need not be able to manufacture all three items delineated below in order to respond to this survey.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspWe will accept responses related to one, two or all three items. 7.62mm Blank M82 Linked with M13 Link, DODIC A111, NSN 1305-01-181-1750, PART NO. 9381581.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThis round has no projectile and is intended for training.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThe linked cartridge belts are packed in cartons, M19A1 ammunition boxes, then wire bound boxes.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspWhile there are no firm requirements at this time, the requirement could be for approximately 40 million rounds.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThe USG has no intention of waiving any technical data package requirements. 7.62mm (4) M80 Ball / (1) M62 Tracer Linked with M13 Link for combat or training, DODIC A131, NSN 1305-00-892-2150, PART NO. 10522350.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThis ammunition consists of four M80 Ball rounds and one M62 Tracer round linked with a M13 Link and is intended as anti -personnel and unarmored target ammunition.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThe linked cartridge belts are packed in cartons, bandoleers, M19A1 ammunition boxes, then wire bound boxes.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThe M80 Ball projectile consists of a lead core in a copper alloy jacket.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThe M62 Tracer projectile consists of a lead core ahead of a tracer and igniter composition in a copper alloy jacket. While there are no firm requirements at this time, the requirement could be for approximately 50 million rounds.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThe USG has no intention of waiving any technical data package requirements. 7.62mm Ball M80 Linked with M13 Link, for combat or training, DODIC A143, NSN 1305-00-892-2330, PART NO. 10524006.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThis round is intended as anti-personnel and unarmored target ammunition.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThe linked cartridge belts are packed in cartons, bandoleers, M19&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspA1 ammunition boxes, then wire bound boxes.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThe M80 Ball projectile consists of a lead core in a copper alloy jacket.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspWhile there are no firm requirements at this time, the requirement could be for approximately 45 million rounds. The USG has no intenti on of waiving any technical data package requirements. It should be noted that the M80 Ball and M62 Tracer are NATO standardized rounds and that the later two configurations (A131 and A143) contain NATO markings on both the inner and exterior containers.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspUnless special provisions are made to supply quantities&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspto training only sites, it will be necessary to qualify any new vendors against the NATO Standardization Agreements. The Army Field Support Command is seeking sources capable of meeting subject requirements.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspInterested sources should submit concept papers outlining their capabilities to meet the Armys requirements should they develop.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspConcept papers, at a minimum, shou ld identify your business structure, business size and status, business capabilities to produce these requirements (equipment, technical, production rate capabilities identifying minimum and maximums and soonest availability dates, quality system utilized,&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspetc.), past experience with same or similar items.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspInterested sources shall provide their concept papers to HQ, AFSC, ATTN:&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspAMSFS-CCA-F (Ms. Susan McKinnis), Rock Island, IL 61299-6000 by COB 20 FEB 04.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspConcept papers may also be e-mailed to Susan.McKinnis@us.army.mil and/or the Contract Specialist, Ms. Jessica McMillin, Jessica.McMillin@us.army.mil.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspTHANK YOU FOR YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THIS MARKET SURVEY.
