Description

This synopsis was previously published (February 18, 2004) under the incorrect solicitation number of W912PL-04-B-0002. The correct solicitation number is W912PL-04-B-0003. In addition, the description is being republished due to a formatting error that caused extra characters to appear, i.e. question marks. Construction project is to extend the C-130 apron a total of 11,585 SM to accommodate two additional parking positions and a taxiway lane for aircraft movement The existing POL inspection station will be demolished and a new POL station constructed consist ing of a metal-framed canopy and an office with split faced masonry veneer walls. The site work involves constructing new rigid pavement, flexible pavement shoulders, and a retention pond. This is an unrestricted procurement. To be eligible, the firms mu st have North American Industry Classification Systems Code (NAICS) 237310 among their approved NAICS Codes. Subcontracting goals are as follows: Small Business 71%, Small Disadvantaged Business 10.2%, HUB Zone 3%, Women-Owned Small Business 10.6%, Servi ce-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business 3%, and Veteran-Owned Small Business 3%. Estimated cost of this acquisition between $1,00,000 and $5,000,000. Procurement may be delayed, canceled, or revised at any time during the solicitation, evaluation, and/or final award process. The tentative issue date of this solicitation is on/about 4 March 2004. The solicitation will be made available on/about 4 March 2004. The Government intends to issue this solicitation and all amendments as Web only through the use of the Internet. It is therefore the contractors responsibility to check daily for any posted changes to this solicitation. No additional media (compact disks, floppy disks, faxes or paper) will be provided unless the Government determines that it is nec essary. Contractors may view and/or download this solicitation and all amendments after Solicitation issuance date from the Los Angeles District Contracting Division Electronic Bid Solicitation (EBS) at the following Internet address: http://ebs.spl.usace .army.mil. Any prospective bidder interested in bidding on this solicitation must register to be placed on the plan holders list. If you are not registered, the United States Government is not responsible to providing you with notification of any changes to this solicitation. Bidders shall register themselves on EBS to receive a copy of this solicitation and amendments. After registering, each bidder for this solicitation should verify how his or her name appears on the plan holders list for this project and make appropriate corrections. All bidders are required to check the Los Angeles District Contracting Division Electronic Bid Solicitation (EBS) daily to be notified of any changes to this solicitation.
