Description
The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southern Division, is currently performing market research for possible future acquisitions for the Navy and Marine Corps Reserve Centers. We are soliciting information from industry to assist in determining an appropriate acquisition strategy for obtaining Multifunction Facilities Support Services for the approximately 125 reserve centers nation-wide. These reserve centers are stand-alone facilities and are not located on a Department of Defense base. The scope of work includes all management, supervision, labor, tools, materials, equipment, supplies, facilities, and transportation necessary to perform such services as grounds maintenance, janitorial, HVAC maintenance, pest control, refuse removal, snow removal, boiler maintenance, fire and security alarm maintenance, and general building maintenance. We have prepared a Market Survey located on our website at http://www.esol.navfac.navy.mil/. This document lists the locations of the centers and the typical services needed at the centers. In addition to information about your company, we would like suggestions on the best method of procuring these services: a large nationwide contract; several regional contracts and if so, suggestions on appropriate regional divisions; or, stand alone contracts at the individual centers that would incorporate all the services. Any resultant contract or contracts will have a performance period that includes a base year with four option years. The contract type(s) will be a combination firm fixed-price and indefinite quantity. The NAICS for the procurement(s) is 561210 with a size standard of $30 Million. This is not a request for proposals and no solicitation is available at this time. The Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. A more comprehensive description of the requirement will be provided with the market survey, as well as instructions for submission of the survey itself. The due date for responses is MARCH 18, 2004. Responses may be submitted via e-mail to sandy.mulligan@navy.mil or fax to 843-820-5819.
