Description

Provide professional A/E services to replace two (2) existing 1200-ton cooling towers including all associated components, demolition, mechanical, electrical, structural evaluation and all the necessary rigging to the roof, and all necessary modifications required for a complete and functional system.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThis project will replace the two (2) deteriorating cooling towers including all associated components, and provide a more energy efficient, cost saving system that will comply with VA HVAC Criteria Requirements and require less maintenance and repair down time.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThe existing cooling towers are approximately 25-30 years old and are deteriorating at a rapid pace and replacement parts have become non-existent.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspProject includes development of contract drawings, specifications and cost estimates for review at 30%, 50% and 100%.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspAlso included is site investigation and construction period services.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThe estimated construction budget is between $250,000 and $500,000.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThe area of consideration for this acquisition is restricted to firms located within a 100 mile radius of the VAMC Coatesville, PA.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspInterested firms must submit two (2) copies of SF 254 and 255 with appropriate documentation to the Contracting Officer (542/90C), VAMC, 1400 Black Horse Hill Rd., Coatesville, PA 19320 by close of business 3/18/04.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspNAICS 541330 applies.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThis is not a request for proposals.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThis procurement is set-aside 100% for small business concerns.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspSee numbered notes 1 & 24.
