Description

A/E firm to provide all professional, technical, and investigative services to prepare working drawings, specifications, final inspections, as-built drawings and provide construction period services for "Renovate Inpatient Space for Specialty Care", at the DVA Medical Center, Hwy 6 West, Iowa City, IA.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThis project involves the remodeling of 5 rooms on the 6th floor which will add two rooms to those available to conduct sleep studies.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspIn the plan for FY 04, we seek to divide Room 6E07 into two rooms that would be redesigned as sleep laboratory rooms.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspRoom 6E08 would be remodeled into a patient room and 6E02, a larger room, would be converted into a control room.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspIn addtional to its size, which accomaodates its use as a control room, Room 6E02 already has an adjacent bathroom that would be available to the technologists without their having to leave the proximity of their patients.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspRoom 6E02 also is adjacent to the proposed sleep patient rooms and thus allows for closer observation and monitoring.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspOn the 9th floor, the work includes remodeling rooms of the west wing to provide offices for psychiatic consultation.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspEstimated construction cost range is between $500,00 to $1,000,000.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThe area of consideration within a (150) mile radius of this facility.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspFirms desiring consideration shall submit their qualifications and past performance on SF 254 and SF 255 no later than 3/18/04.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspNAICS Code is 541310 is applicable with a size standard of $4 million.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThe fax no. is 319-339-7121.
