Description
The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Omaha District has issued a Request for Quotation for an AUTOMATION EVALUATION FEASIBILITY STUDY AT SIX MISSOURI RIVER POWER PLANTS.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspQuotations will be received on or about 04 March 2004.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThe solicitation is unrestricted and open to both large and small business participation. Prepare an Automation Evaluation Feasibility Study of the six Omaha District hydroelectric power plants on the Missouri River.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThis feasibility study will evaluate each plant from an operational perspective and determine the feasibility for increased effi ciency and automation.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspIn addition to providing a recommendation for increased efficiency/automation for the operation of each plant, the study will also provide an overall recommended option for operation of all plants. The study will also evaluate wheth er the remote control center should remain at Gavins Point Dam or be relocated to some other project or location.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThe options to be considered for each plant in this study range from the status quo to remote operation of all plants from a single remote c ontrol center.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThe goal of the study is to explore options for increased efficiency while assuring that plant safety, reliability, and availability requirements are still met.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp The solicitation will be available by INTERNET ACCESS ONLY.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspAll solicitation documents and amendments thereto will be posted to the Omaha District's Advertised Solicitation Web Site at http://ebs-nwo.wes.army.mil.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspChoose Solicitation Type:&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspSimplified Ac quisition and select: W9128F-04-T-0014 to download the complete solicitation package.
