Description

This synopsis provides notice of the Government?s intent to purchase on a firm fixed-price basis and to solicit a purchase order on a sole source basis with Shakespeare Antennas, PO Box 733, Newberry SC 29108, for the items listed below.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThis action is under the authority of FAR Part 13.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThe items are commercial items.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThe contract line item numbers and descriptions are:&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp**CLIN 0001 Antenna AT-1011, P/N: 120-11 (Quantity 53 EA); CLIN 0002 Antenna Base, P/N: 120-44 (Quantity 53 EA); CLIN 0003 Antenna Bag, AT-1011/U, P/N: 120-58 (Quantity 53 EA); CLIN 0004 Kit, Guy Wire, HF Whip, P/N: 120-59 (Quantity 53 EA); CLIN 0005 Kit, Ground Radical, P/N: 120-47 (Quantity 53 EA); and CLIN 0006 Shipping&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp(Quantity 2 Lots).&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThe items will be used to support the Joint Base Station (JBS) Variant Two (V2) Project.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp<BR> <BR> Shakespeare Antennas is the only known manufacturer and distributor of these items.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThese items meet the government?s minimum requirements and meet the form, fit, function, and interface to ensure standardization.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspAward is expected 3 March 2004.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspInterested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThis notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspHowever, the Government will consider all information received by 2 March 2004 1530EST.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspA determination by the government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspInformation received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThe government will not pay for any information received.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspFacsimile proposals are acceptable.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspFor information contact Cathy Knapp, Code 2.5.1.2.2.5, Telephone (301) 995-8894, FAX (301) 995-8670 or via e-mail: cathy.knapp@navy.mil<BR> <BR>
