Description
The scope of work may consist of all aspects of Architect/Engineering Services for Repair/Alteration, Building Expansions&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspand New Construction within the State of&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspArkansas.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThe contract for architect-engineer services will be for five years, with individual work orders being issued.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspEach work order will be negotiated as an individual project.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThe total amount of work ordered over the five-year period may not exceed $5,000,000, or be less than $5,000.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspFirms which possess the qualifications to perform the services described below are invited to submit completed SF 255, ?Architect-Engineer and Related Services Questionnaire for Specific Project,? a completed SF 254, ?Architect-Engineer and Related Services Questionnaire,? and a completed SF 254 for each of its proposed consultants to the office shown above, postmarked not later than March 19, 2004.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThe selection will be conducted by using the submitted SF 255 and the SF 254 forms.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspInterested firms with more than one office must indicate on their SF 255 the staffing composition of the office in which the work will be performed.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspConsideration will be given to firms responding to this advertisement in accordance with the instruction in the following order of preference.<BR> 1. Local: within the state of Arkansas; 2.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspOut of state.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspArchitectural-Engineer firms will be considered as local only if their sole office is in the local geographical area of have a local branch office and all the architectural design, coordination, and management of the project will be performed in that office.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspCriteria to be used in selection of firms for interview will be: 1)Architecture is the primary function of the submitting office, 2) Possess AUTOCAD 2000 or higher,&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp3) Have at least two personnel registered in the State of Arkansas to practice Architecture,&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp4)Experience with AUTOCAD systems using similar standards and procedures, 5) Experience of office personnel with AUTOCAD systems,&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp6)Past experience in repair and alteration work, 7) Firm?s ability to manage several repair and alteration projects at a single time, 8)Experience in building expansion and new construction work of 1,000 to 30,000 square feet,&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp9) Prospective firms are to provide evidence of current insurance of $200,000 of errors and omissions per claim..&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspIt is prohibited to pay any fee, commission, percentage, or brokerage fee to any person or firm contingent upon or resulting from award of a contract for this project.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspIn the future, the Postal Service may elect to expand the geographic area on this contract to include projects within Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas without further solicitation.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspNo other general notification for this project will be made.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThe U.S. Postal Service reserves the right to make multiple awards on this solicitation.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspSubmissions will not be retained or returned.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThis is not a request for proposals.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspPlease mail all forms to Mary-Ellen Bothwell, Dallas Facilities Service Office, 7800 N.
