Description
The following questions and answers are provided for Solicitation Number W9124R-04-T-0016. Because of time constraints this is the final response for questions and answers for this solicitation. Response Date/Time for proposals remain unchanged, 26 February 2004, 3:00PM MST. Question What type of material is the building: concrete, metal, composite Answer Building is concrete shelter. Question Do you have any floor plan drawings of equipment and cable rack layout Answer No. Power equipment will be mounted in a standalone cabinet. Question What height and width is the existing equipment. ( rack) Answer There is no existing equipment rack. Question Existing 2 strings of batteries being replaced: Where are they located and are they stand -alone or mounted in the racks. Answer No existing batteries. The new batteries will be stand alone next to the power cabinet. Question Who is the preferred manufacturer of the 5 kw inverter Answer Exeltech is the preferred manufacturer of the 5kw inverter. Refer to solicitation Brand Name or Equal per Federal Acquisition Regulation 52.211-6. Question What is the location of the new 5 kw inverter 23 inch shelf. (rack) Answer The 5kw inverter will be mounted in the standalone cabinet. Question Does it need new 5 kw inverter voltage inputs and outputs. (example: input-48vdc, output 120 vac). Answer Yes. Question Quote request for 1 kw inverter plug in module. Does it need redundancy N+1. Answer The 5kw invertor has space for 5 – 1kw modules. Only 1kw module is required at this time. Question Quote did not request an alarm card. The system (requires one card) to be functional. Answer The PCP-SSD3.IP provides the system status and control Question Quote did not request a control card. Optional Answer The PCP-SSD3.IP provides the system status and control Question Rectifiers need voltage inputs and outputs. ( example input: 120/240 ac: output-48vdc) the new rectifiers modules require 1 circuit breaker per rectifier. Answer The system requires 22 ea 50 amp breakers Question Access to the building: Is it ground level or are there any loading/unloading facilities and equipment such as a fork lift. Answer Ground level. Vendor is responsible for all material handling equipment. Question Are there any stairs, steps or hand rails that might obstruct the installation of the batteries. Answer No. Question What size are the door openings. ( width and height) Answer Double doors – 36 inches ea, 7ft high Question What is the location of A/C panel (available circuit breakers positions) Answer The A/C panel is at the opposite end of the shelter. Local electricians will wire to power cabinet. Question If drawings of the equipment are not available, is it possible for someone to take digital pictures and E-mail to me. Answer This is a brand new installation, no pictures are available. Question I did not see any request for battery disconnects for the battery strings. (safety reasons) Answer Yes. Battery disconnects are required.
