Description

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to award a sole source effort to BAE Systems to perform vibration testing and optional redesign of the EA-6B Low Band Transmitter Lower Chillplate Installation. This effort includes vibration testing to aircraft pod environmental levels to determine the adequacy of chillplate installation hardware (brackets, hinges, etc) in its closed position. The test results will enable the Navy to determine whether additional effort is necessary to investigate and implement alternate design approaches.
