Description

The purpose of this notice is to change the response date in "General Information", above, from 30APR04 to 15APR04, and to revise the anticipated solicitation issue date from 6DEC03 to 5MAR04, as well as to delete the authority for sole source. Authority: 10 USC 2304(c)(1) As implemented by FAR 6.302-1 is removed. As a result, TO: revised from: Pratt and Whitney, East Hartford, CT, to: Pratt and Whitney, East Hartford, CT; Tri-Industries, Terre Haute, IN and Dynamic Gunver Technologies, Manchester CT. Note 22 no longer applies. Notes 23 and 26 apply. NOUN: Nozzle Support; NSN: 2840-01-501-0121NZ; P/N: 4086906-01; QTY: 801; U/I: Each; DELIVERY: from JUN2004; DESTINATION: Tinker AFB OK; APPLICABLE TO: F100PW220; SIZE/DIMENSIONS: Approximately 46.5 inches in diameter X 27 inches in height; PREDOMINANT MATERIAL: Titanium Alloy; FORM/FIT/FUNCTION: Provides support for installing actuators, sync ring, and other hardware to operate the nozzle. Anticipated Solicitation issue date: 6DEC03. The solicitation will be posted to FEDBIZOPS. It is not anticipated that a paper solicitation will be issued. Anticipated award date: 30APR04. No telephone solicitation requests will be accepted. Government-furnished drawings will not be provided with the solicitation. To be eligible for contract award, offerors must be approved sources. A first article test may be required. Criteria for waiver will be posted with the solicitation. The requirements of FAR 9.202(a) have been completed and copies of the qualification requirements and standards may be obtained from OC-ALC/BC ATTN: Source Development Office, 3001 Staff DriveSTE 1AG85A, Tinker AFB OK 73145-3009. The Government is not required to delay contract award to review pending Source Approval Requests (SARs). Therefore, offerors are encouraged to submit SARs as soon as possible. If the Government has not completed review of the SAR when the contract is awarded, the SAR will be retained and the source will be reviewed for possible Source Approval for future awards. NOTE: An ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the Program Manager or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
