Description

The purpose of this amended notice is to revise the "General Information" response date, above, from 15JAN04 to 10MAR04 and to delete synopsis note 22. Notes 23 and 26 apply. Also delete reference TO: Pratt and Whitney, East Hartford, CT. NOUN: Front Fan Duct, Chem-milled; NSN: 2840-01-386-8242NZ; P/N: 4081360; QTY: 74; U/I: Each; DELIVERY: AUGUST2004 TO:Tinker AFB, OK; APPLICABLE TO: F100PW220; SIZE/DIMENSIONS: 36 inches X 46 inches; PREDOMINANT MATERIAL: Titanium alloy; FORM/FIT/FUNCTION: This item forms the outside shell of the engine and provides mounting structure for engine controls and accessories. Anticipated Solicitation issue date: 6DEC03. The solicitation will be posted to FEDBIZOPS. It is not anticipated that a paper solicitation will be issued. Anticipated award date: 30APR04. No telephone solicitation requests will be accepted. Government-furnished drawings will not be provided with the solicitation. To be eligible for contract award, offerors must be approved sources. A first article test may be required. Criteria for waiver will be posted with the solicitation. The requirements of FAR 9.202(a) have been completed and copies of the qualification requirements and standards may be obtained from OC-ALC/BC ATTN: Source Development Office, 3001 Staff Drive STE 1AG85A, Tinker AFB OK 73145-3009. The Government is not required to delay contract award to review pending Source Approval Requests (SARs). Therefore, offerors are encouraged to submit SARs as soon as possible. If the Government has not completed review of the SAR when the contract is awarded, the SAR will be retained and the source will be reviewed for possible Source Approval for future awards. TO: Pratt and Whitney, East Hartford, CT. NOTE: An ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition.The purpose of the ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the Program Manager or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
