Description

The Government intends to negotiate a commercial item (FAR Part 12) sole source contract with Bio-Rad Laboratories, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, for the delivery of the Variant II System, and consumable supplies. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-19. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A justification for other than full and open competition is being prepared in support of this acquisition. The Government intends to award a firm - fixed price contract for a base year, with the Government's option to exercise four (4) one (1) year option periods. The delivery location is at the VA San Diego Healthcare System, San Diego CA. The solicitation is to be issued on or about February 24, 2004, with offers due on or about March 17, 2004. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. NAICS #421450.
