- Description
- Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama City, Florida, intends to solicit a sole source purchase order to DP Enterprises, 8623 N. Lagoon Dr., Panama City, Florida 32408, for the acquisition of forty-eight (48) filtered-air supply hose assemblies and certification documentation. The hose assemblies are per drawing 801ASSY6640965. Only DP Enterprises can perform this effort for the following reasons. The hose assemblies form highly specialized life support systems under the NAVSEA Diving Certification Authority. Only those articles that have been successfully tested are qualified. Procedures are specified under SS521-AA-MAN-010 U.S. Navy Diving and Manned Hyper Baric Certification Manual. The objective of this process is to verify that the life support system provides acceptable levels of diver safety throughout the specified operating range when approved operating and maintenan ce procedures are followed. The intent of the process is to provide maximum reasonable assurance that an accident will not occur and establishes maximum reasonable assurance that the diver or firefighter may be recovered without injury if there is an accident. DP Enterprises is the only source available that is certified to complete the hose assemblies. NAICS code 332999 applies. SBA size standard is 500 employees. FSC is 4720.
