- In accordance with OMB Circular A-76 (Revised May 29, 2003) the National Institutes of Health (NIH) is publicly announcing the beginning of a Streamline Competition for Materials Management. The Competitive Sourcing Official (CSO) is Dr. Ed Sontag, Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management, Department of Health and Human Resources. The Agency Tender Official (ATO) for the Most Efficient Organization (MEO) is Robert Mekelburg. The Contracting Officer (CO) is Patricia Pemberton and Lisa Schneider. The projected end date of the Competition is July 8, 2004. The Materials Management services include the functions of Central Hospital Supply, Storage and Distribution, Inventory Management, and Management Analyst/Systems Administrator. These services are currently provided by 34 federal government employees and the following incumbent service providers: FOCUS AMC, First Assist, DAZTECH, R. W. Jacobson, BOC, Hill Rom, Government Movers, CF Equipment, LLC, LAWSON and Prime Vendor. NIH will issue another notice to announce the decision of the cost comparison on or about July 9, 2004. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME
