Description
The purpose of this modification is to correct the sole source contractor listed in the body of this text. It should read sole source to Parker Hannifin instead of General Electric. NSN: 2935-01-170-1079JF P/N: 7019M86P02 NOUN: HEAT EXCH The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 30 days of the solicitation issuance will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1), Justification: Supplies required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible source(s) and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. ITEM DESCRIPTION: 4.660 IN H, HYD IN AND OUT; LUBE IN AND OUT; BYPASS VALVE; MATL ALLOY Applicable to: F101 Destination: FB2039 Estimated Qty: 13 EA The quantity can change prior to award, therefore, the following quantity ranges will be solicited: 5-10, 11-16 and 17-22 Due Date: April 2005 Qualification requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. The solicitation will contain instructions for obtaining further information on this requirement. The qualification requirements for this item were established prior to 19 Oct 1984 and the requirements of FAR 9.202(A) do not apply. These qualification requirements apply to line item(s) 0001. The approximate issue date of the solicitation will be 12 March, 2004. The response date will be approximately 30 days after the issuance. The anticipated award date will be 30 April 2004. Written and electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation. SOLE SOURCE To: General Electric Aircraft Engines, Cincinnati OH. No telephone requests. Only written or faxed requests received directly from the requestor are acceptable. Faxed requests should be submitted to OC-ALC/LPKPB, Attn: Christy Slayton, (405) 739-5493. E-mail written requests to Christy.Slayton@tinker.af.mil. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. The solicitation will identify the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualification requirements. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firm listed. Note: While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price and past performance factors as detailed in the solicitation. Note: Note: Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government’s requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice.
