- Description
- NASA/GRC has a requirement for the procurement of 1 each, Laserform Oven, 1 each, Start-up Kit and 1 each, Training Package. NASA/GRC intends to purchase the above items from 3D Systems located in Medina, OH 44256. The equipment to be purchased must be compatible with existing Government owned Rapid Prototyping Equipment. The Laserform Oven will be an integral step to be used in concert with the 3D Systems Rapid Prototype proprietary procss. The Government can also enhance our capabilities by acquiring the proprietary information that accompanies the acquisition training. In order to maintain product quality additional equipment must be procured from the original equipment vendor. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on 3/4/04. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
