Description

The National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration, (NOAA)has a requirement for the repair of 29 coaxial switch assemblies. The Government owns over 200 of these switches at a avalue of $250,000.00. We require this repair so these assemblies may replace others when they fail. It is the intent of the Government to award this procurement on a sole source basis under authority of 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1) with Ducommun Technologies, Inc. of Carson, CA. This procurement is being conducted per FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures (NTE $100,000). This synopsis is issued for information only. No competitive solicitation is planned. No award will be made on the basis of requests in response to this notice. Terms & Conditions and agency level protest procedures can be found on web site http://oamweb.osec.doc.gov/conops/#REFERENCE. Information submitted in response to this notice will be used solely to determine whether or not use of competitive procedures to fulfill this requirement would be in the Government's best interest and must address qualifications pertinent to this requirement. These are the complete specifications and no RFQ is available. All technical questions shall be addressed to Brian Koonsvitsky of NOAA at 303 497-3095. This RFQ will expire March 13, 2004.
