Description

This synopsis constitutes the intent of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, to issue a solicitation for the procurement of commercial items in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as su pplemented with additional information included in this notice. The solicitation documents will only be available on the website. Solicitation No. W912BU-04-T-0030, a Commercial Request For Quotations (RFQ), will be issued on or about March 9, 2004, with a closing date due of March 30, 2004 at 1645 hours. The solicitation document and its incorporated provisions and clauses will be those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 01-20, dated February 23, 2004. This acquisition will be process ed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP), and is an unrestricted procurement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 532412 with a small business classification of 5 million. SCHEDULE: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Phil adelphia District has a requirement for the rental of two (2) each 325 Caterpillar amphibious 60 feet reach excavators, without operators. LOCATION OF WORK SITE: All work will be performed in the Wilmington South, Delaware. For exact location contractor s are required to call Mr. Harry Faulls, (215) 365-1892. INSPECTION: Inspection and final testing of the materials and equipment called for under this contract shall be performed at the place of performance. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: The required performan ce period for this acquisition is a total of sixty (60) days. The following FAR provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition in addition to others: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial, 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certification-Comme rcial Items, 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statues Or Executive Orders-Commercial Items. Prospective Contractors are required to submit a completed copy of the pr ovisions at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certification-Commercial Items with their offer. Offers may be mailed or faxed to the POC indicated above (FAX 215) 656-6780. Copies of the Solicitation documents will be furnished only on the website; h ard copies will not be available. Offerors may view and/or download the solicitation and all amendments from the Internet at the following address: https://ebs.nap.usace.army.mil on or after the issue date as stated herein. The official media of distribut ion for this solicitation is the website. Award will be made as a whole to one bidder. If any information changes during the advertisement period, contractors are responsible to make changes to their user profile on the Internet. Failure to make changes in their user profile may cause a delay in receiving notice of the solicitation or any amendments. Hard copies will not be available.
