Description

Construct project work as detailed in the designs and specifications for the purpose of restoring wetland conditions and enhancing habitat of a wetland restoration program site in Jefferson County, Wisconsin. Work will include ditch plugs, fill ditches, install rock-lined waterway, remove fencing and provide seeding. The work will involve approximately 16,415 CY excavation, 16,415 earthfill, 45 CY rock/gravel, 213 SqYd geotextile fabric installation, 2600 linear feet fence removal, 21 acres native seeding and 3.5 acres disturbed area seeding. Some clearing/grubbing will be necessary. Cost range is $25,000 to $100,000. Performance time, including mobilization and adverse weather days is: 13 days for earthwork (using 3 pcs of equipment), 2 days for seeding, 3 days for mowing. Seeding shall begin by May 12, 2004 and be completed by May 15, 2004. Final mowing shall be competed by August 13, 2004. Earthwork mobilization shall occur by May 14, 2004 and all work shall be completed by June 4, 2004. Interested parties are invited to attend a site showing on March 19, 2004. The site showing will begin at 10AM in the conference room, UW-Extension, 864 Collins Road, Jefferson, WI. For directions, call that location at 920-674-7295. After a brief meeting concerning the bidding process and contract requirements, the group will leave for a tour of the work site.
