Description

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) requires the services of a performance-based contract utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures to purchase Braille transcription services for the period of June 2004 - May 2007. Pending receipt of all internal clearances and approvals. This is a time and material order, (however CMS reserves the right to place another type of order). In additional to transcribing an average of 8 to 10 Medicare publications each year of the contract, purchased services will also include proofreading, packaging and distribution of Braille publications during the period of performance. Task order #1 for this contract is the production of 2,300 Braille copies of the Mediare and You 2005 handbook, which will begin in mid July 2004, and will terminate with the delivery of Braille handbooks by mid September 2004.
