Description

ASBESTOS/LEAD PAINT ABATEMENT, BASE WIDE AT WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE. NAICS Code 562910, Size Standard $12.0 Million. The proposed acquisition is for a sole-source from the Small Business Administration (SBA) using the authority of Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act. The scope of this project consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, appliances, devices and materials, transportation (include mobilization and demobilization for each task) necessary to perform removal of asbestos (in its many forms and uses) in connection with Base Wide Asbestos On Call to accomplish a broad range of asbestos removal work at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. This synopsis is published for informational purposes only. The attached solicitation documents are made available for potential subcontractors, and are not intended for the basis of competition or negotiation with any company other than the selected sole source. This proposed contract action is for asbestos/lead paint services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 5.202 section (a) (4). The 8(a) selected source is Buckeye Asbestos Removal, Inc. and has been chosen by the Small Business Administration prior to the release of this synopsis. 04R0014 is a WPAFB Construction Contracting (PKEA) program. The current status is Solicitation and it is a Category Z - Repair and maintenance of structures and facilities. Solicitation No. FA8601-04-R0014 Response Date: 05 March 2004.
