Description

M45 External Drinking Tube; NSN 4240-01-443-9347; P/N 5-1-2828. Material: EPDM RUBBER, color black. Overall Length is 6.75 inches; outside diameter is .290 inch max; inside diameter is .120 inch. Bidders are to be alerted that the rubber formulation for the tube shall be non-toxic and must be proven as such prior to first article approval. After award of contract the winning bidder must provide sufficient information and data to the government to substantiate the non-toxicity of the rubber formulation they intend to use. The submitted information will be reviewed and approved by the Surgeon General. This acceptance process can be lengthy so early submission of supporting documentation by the winning bidder is encouraged. This solicitation is for a 5-ye ar Requirements contract. Proposed contract is 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The anticipated maximum ordering quantity over life of contract is 100,000 packages containing 5 each per package. This is a Best Value procurement with past performance and pric e as the evaluating factors. A First Article Test (FAT) is required 60 days after award of contract. The Government may consider waiving FAT for those contractors that have previously produced this item. If FAT is required, deliveries will commence 65 days after FAT has been approved. FOB DESTINATION. Estimated issue date is 15 March 2004. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501 and 5.102, therefore hardcopies will not be provided. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Gove rnment is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any said amendemnts which may be issued. Fail ure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of the same.
