SOLICITATION NO: H92239-04-T-0011, GOVERNMENT RESPONSES TO INDUSTRY QUESTIONS, 1 MARCH 2004, AMMUNITION ? NAICS 332992 QUESTION (1)? If we cannot make a full delivery by March 30, would a partial delivery be acceptable? ANSWER. NO. QUESTION (2)? If we can not make the desired shipping date, should we put our best delivery date? ANSWER. NO, Delivery Date must be 30 March 2004. QUESTION (3)? Is shipping FOB origin? ANSWER. Shipping is FOB Designation. QUESTION (4)? What is the anticpated award date? If offers are received on 3/12/04 and you make an award on 3/15/04 that would leave less than 2 weeks to manufacture and deliver. ANSWER. The anticipated award (or Vocal Order of Contracting Officer (VOCO)) will either be 3/12/04 or 3/15/04. Delivery Date Requested remains 3/30/04. QUESTION (5)? I see no end item military specifications listed. Are these rounds to be manufactured to commercial specifications? ANSWER. NO, to Military Specifications. QUESTION (6)Is the ammunition linked, on stripper clips or packed in boxes. If so what size boxes? ANSWER. Military Packing or Commercial packing is acceptable. The size of the boxes is left up to the vendor. Some package in 200 Rounds/box, 500 rounds/Box?etc. QUESTION (7)? Will you post all questions to allow for a level playing field? ANSWER. YES! QUESTION (8)? Will a Bulgarian munufacturer be acceptable? ANSWER. NO! Under DFARS 225.872-1 General (Buy American Act) listing countries excluded from having to meet the Buy American Act, Bulgaria is not included in the list of countries excluded from the Buy American Act. REQUIREMENT: The contractor shall provide the following items- Ammunition ? 235,000 Rounds of 5.56MM M193 2 or equal. Delivery to be to Fort Lewis, WA 98433 With a Delivery Date of No Later Than(NLT) 1600 hours 30 March 2004.
