- Description
- THIS IS NOT AN INVITATION FOR BID OR A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. Contractor will furnish all labor, material, supervision and equipment to completely renovate Building 681, in accordance with the design plans and specifications. The advertised price range for this contract is between five and ten million dollars. The scope of the contract includes but is not limited to demolition, excavation, renovation, roofing, structural steel, interior and exterior electrical work, audio visual, plumbing, sheet metal, HVAC, painting, concrete masonry, tilt-up pre-cast concrete panels, carpentry, systems furniture, elevators, landscaping, and parking lot paving work. The procurement will be negotiated on a best value basis in accordance with the guidelines outlined in FAR Part 15.101 with emphasis on past performance. In response to the solicitation, offerors will required to demonstrate their ability to manage multiple subcontracts with a variety of trades; perform quality work, ability to complete projects within the allowable period of performance, and at a reasonable price. Award of a resulting contract will not necessarily be made to the lowest priced offeror. It is the intent of the Government to negotiate and award a firm fixed price contract with a qualified firm with extensive experience in renovation of industrial and office buildings. The solicitation will be available on/or about June 1, 2004, with proposals due on/or about July 14, 2004. The Government is considering the possibility of restricting competition for this project to certified 8(a) Small Business firms as outlined in FAR Part 19.8, certified HUBZone firms as outlined in FAR Part 19.13 and/or Small Business firms as outlined in FAR 19.5. The Governments final set-aside decision will be based on the number of qualified firms in those set-aside categories. Interested firms should provide a written response (not to exceed two type written pages) to this synopsis outlining your size status and a capability statement demonstrating your experience as it relates to the advertised scope of work. Responses should be provided as early as possible, however no later than 15 days from publication of this notice. The NAICS Code for this Solicitation is 236220 (SIC Code is 1542), Size Standard is $28.5M.
