- Description
- The Center for Disease Control and Prevention intends to purchase on a Sole Source basis from ASCC, Inc., Internet Connectivity to support the CDC Project in Tinidad. The connectivity will provide bandwidth of 256bps upstream and 2mbps downstream. The link will also be used to implement Voice of IP Technology and Video Conference. The performance shall begin with award of the purchase order through one year. ASCC, Inc., is the only known source presently capable of providing the continuation of maintenance service. North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 513340, and the Size Standard is 11M. A solicitation is not available for distribution. Interested vendors capable of furnishing the service shall submit two (2) copies of the quotation and a “Statement of Capabilities” detailed in writing to the address listed below. The quotation shall include the itemized price, prompt payment terms, the F.O.B. Point (Destination or Origin), Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), Dun & Bradstreet Number (DUNS) and descriptive literature of the product quoted. The quotation must reference Solicitation Number 2004-Q-01230 Quotations will be due no later than close of business Tuesday, March 6, 2004. This action is proposed pursuant to 41 U.S.C. 253(1) and under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1. The requirement will be procured as a commercial items buy in accordance with FAR 12.102(c) under the test program. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed requirement will be solely within the discretion of the Government. This solicitation is prepared in accordance with the combined synopsis format included in subpart 12.6, as supplemented. The following provisions apply to this acquisition: 52.212-1 “Instruction to Offeror’s” – Commercial Items (MAR 2000) 52.212-2, Evaluation – Commercial Items (JAN 1999 The following evaluation criteria will be used: (1) Technical Capability of the proposed system to the meet the requirements stated herein, and (2) price. Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items (MAY 1999) apply. The following clauses are added: 52.247.35 F.O.B. Destination and 52.212-5 Commercial Items. The following clauses listed in paragraph (b) of 52.212-5 apply to this acquisition: (1), (3), (5), (7), (9), (11), (12), (14), (15), (17), (18), (18), (20) and (24). Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provisions at 52.212-3, “Offeror’s Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items.” FAR clauses and certification may be accessed through the Government’s website at http://www.arnet.gov/far. This procurement is not set-aside for small business. Completed quotes will be due no later than 5:30 p.m., est., March 6, 2004.
