Description

Under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) subpart 6.3 the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System intends to negotiate sole source for the procurement of Merge eFilm solution software, a commercial off-the-shelf imaging software, from Merge eFilm, Inc., 1126 S. 70th St., Milwaukee, WI 53214. The subject software is required as a diagnostic optical exam tool providing ocular measurements, three dimensional viewing, and meets the mandated HL/7 and ACR-Nema Dicom 3.0 connectivity to the VA Hospital Information System and Dicom storage to VISTA imaging. The software offers a superior redundant backup system and is the only known software validated by the FDA to be compatible with Dell Computer?s 2650 Server hardware. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals, which may be faxed to (520) 629-1817 or e-mailed, no later than close of business on March 24, 2004. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
