Description

Point of Contact for this project is Vernon Vann, (817)886-1049. Construct an aviation maintenance hangar at Polk Army Airfield and an unmanned aerial vehicle shelter at Self Airfield. Primary facilities include POL storage, HAZMAT storage and pavements for taxiways, aviation aprons, parking pads and har dstand. Supporting facilities include electrical service, water, sewer, gas, paving, walks, storm drainage, curbs and gutters, antiterrorism/force protection and mass notification. This project will be advertised UNRESTRICTED. Proposals from large busin ess firms must comply with FAR clause 52.219-9 regarding the requirement for submission of a Subcontracting Plan. The Fort Worth District subcontracting goals are for specific percentages of the contractors total planned subcontract amount to be placed wi th the following: Small Business, 57.2%, Small Disadvantaged Business 10%, Women-Owned Small Business 10%, HUB Zone Small Business 3.0%, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business 3.0%, Reporting by Large Business 100%. NAICS Code is 236220. Small Bu siness Size Standard is $28.5 Million. Estimated issue date is 22 March 2004. Estimated Bid Opening date is 21 April 04. Estimated Construction Cost Range is $25,000,000 & $50,000,000. The plans and specifications will be placed on Compact Disk (CD-ROM ) and will be provided free of charge. Plans and spec will not be provided in a paper hard copy format. Notification of amendments shall be made through 3.5 inch diskette, CD-Rom and/or the Internet. However, the government reserves the right to use onl y the Internet as notification of any changes to this solicitation. It is therefore the contractors responsibility to check the following address daily for any posted changes to this solicitation. Contractors may view/and or download this solicitation an d all amendments from the Internet after solicitation issuance at the following Internet address: http://ebs.swf.usace.army.mil.
