Description

The Department of Navy intends to issue a Request for Quotations (RFQ) under solicitation no. N62472-03-Q-6107 for the contractor to accomplish the following: Provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and management to purchase and install a medium voltage 15 kV sectionalizing switch, purchase and install a concrete transformer pad, excavate and build a concrete retaining wall around the switch pad, excavate and install a new concrete encased ductbank with four (2x2) electrical conduits between the switch pad and manhole, and to install and splice new cables between the sectionalizing switch and the manhole. Work shall be performed in strict accordance with the specifications and drawings. Award will be based upon the lowest price from a responsible firm. The solicitation will be issued as ?unrestricted?. The applicable NAICS code is 238210, small business size standard is less than $12,000,000. Prospective bidders must register for this project on the NAVFAC Electronic Solicitation Internet web site, www.esol.navfac.navy.mil to receive notification of availability of solicitation documents. The Issue Date and Bid Due Date stated in this notice are approximate dates. An official Bidder?s Mailing List will be maintained on-line and can be printed from the web site. The Bidder?s List will not be faxed. Recording companies are also required to register. Notification of any changes to this solicitation (Amendments) shall be made only on the Internet. Per the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996, the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFAR) has been amended to require all contractors to register in the Department of Defense (DOD) Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database. Be advised, for solicitations issued after May 31, 1998, failure to register in the CCR may render an offeror ineligible for award of DOD contracts. Information regarding this registration may be obtained by accessing the web site www.ccr.gov or by referring to DFARS Subpart 204-73.
