Description
The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) intends to award a commercial sole source purchase order to Invitrogen, Grand Island, NY 14072, pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1)--Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This procurement is for the purchase 1 each Beacon 2000 Full-Range Fluorescence Polarization System. The system purchased must be capable or have the following required features for our research purposes: 1) Capable of measuring fluorescence polarization (FP), 2) Capable of measuring fluorescence anistropy (FA) , 3) Single-Tube FP system format, 4) Choice of two wavelength configurations, 5) Single chamber design to utilize sample volume sizes as low as 100 ul, 6) Precise temperature control: +/- 1 degree C, 7) Perform real time kinetic measurement of samples, 8) Precise FP readings with an accuracy of less than 2mP standard deviation, 9) Computer interface, and 10) Benchtop size: 21" x 15" x 9.25". All responsible sources may respond by submitting a written narrative statement of capability within 15 days of date of notice to Dee Lunney at the above address for consideration by the agency. Response must include detailed technical information and other technical literature demonstrating the ability to meet these requirements. Responses shall also include itemized pricing that is sufficient to make a determination that competition is feasible. If no affirmative responses are received within 15 days of this notice to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, an order will be placed with Invitrogen. The NAICS Code/Size is 334516/500EM. This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. There is no solicitation package available.
