Description
NOUN/SERVICE TITLE: APACHE PLATFORM INTEGRATION, The Joint Common Missile (JCM) System Design and Development (SDD) consists of Phase I and Phase II. JCM Phase I is a (12-14 month) risk reduction effort with specific exit criteria to complete prior t o execution of Phase II. JCM Phase II is the remaining portion of the SDD (36 Months). This SDD effort consisting of Phase I and Phase II will integrate the employment of the JCM onto the AH-64D Apache Attack Helicopter. Research, Development, Test and Eng ineering (RDT&E) funds will be utilized for this effort. Phase II will be incrementally funded. The Government does not possess sufficient documentation to acquire this item from other than the qualified source. A technical data package, which defines all engineering and quality requirements, is not available. This proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a limited number of sources. Suggest those small business firms o r others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with this procurement, make contact with the firm(s) listed. Solicitation will be issued to McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Company a subsidiary of the Boeing Corporation, Commercial and Govern ment Entity Code 8V613, located at 5000 East McDowell Road, Mesa, AZ 85205. All offerors must meet prequalification requirements in order to be eligible for award. Firms that recognize and can produce the required item described above are encouraged to identify themselves. Firms are encouraged to seek source approval in order to compete for future solicitations by accessing the website www.redstone.army.mil/com/ and looking under the Qualification Procedures for Aviation Requirements. All responsible s ources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the Agency. The closing date annotated is an estimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the date stated above. Foreign Firms are reminded that all requests for solicitation must be processed through their respective embassies. This documentation contains technical data whose export is restricted by the Arms Control Act (Title 22, U.S.C., SEC 2751 ET SEQ) or Executive Order 12470. Violation of these Export Laws is subject to severe Criminal P enalties. No telephone requests will be accepted.
