Description
The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Keyport requires a contractor to provide repair services on the J69 TurboJet Engine Turbine Inlet Nozzle. The contractor must have the capability to perform the Activated Diffusion Healing (ADH) process to repair cracks on the J69 Turbine Inlet Nozzle. This process will include operations such as glass beading, fluorescent penetrant inspection, hydrogen cleaning, vacuum brazing, and others. Currently this proposed process is not covered in the Technical Order Manual 2J-J69-73, however the final parts must meet the allowable crack criteria of this referenced manual. The estimated quantity is 92 parts. It is anticipate that this will be an Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity type contract with a base period performance of one year with two one year options. Base period of performance shall be from date of award through one year t hereafter with two one year options. FOB Destination: Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Keyport, Keyport, WA 98345 Inspection and Acceptance at Destination. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued by 16 Mar 04. The closing date of the solicitation is anticipated to be 31 Mar 04. This requirement will be procured under FAR Part 12 commercial acquisition procedures utilizing best value evaluation of offers. When issued, the RFQ will be posted electronically via the NECO website and on the NUWC Division Keyport, Acquisition Division website. Offerors wishing to submit an offer are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFQ and to frequently monitor the site for any amendments to the RFQ. No telephone or fax requests for the RFQ package will be accepted. An email request to klosem@kpt.nuwc.navy.mil will be accepted in the event an offeror ex periences problems downloading the RFQ from the NECO website. No bidders list will be maintained by this office. No paper copies of the RFQ/amendments will be mailed. Failure to respond to the electronically posted RFQ and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of quotes may render your offer nonresponsive and result in rejection of the same. After downloading the solicitation, firms interested in submitting quotes must: (1) complete the pricing, (2) complete all representations and certifications found in the solicitation, (3) manufacturer information of proposed items and (4) ensure current registration in the DoD Central Contractor Registration database (http://www.ccr.gov).
