Description
The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport intends to solicit proposals for the Undersea Sensor and Sonar Systems Department. Technical support will involve installation, feasibility studies, monitoring of new ship construction, review of documentation, design and development of ILS programs and/or documentation in surface ship and submarine sonar related areas. An ID/IQ type contract with CPFF provisions is anticipated. Multiple awards are possible. Period of performance will be five (5) years. Total estimated level of effort is 62,536 man-hours. Minimum number of personnel required: Elec/Elec Engineer III (1), Logistician III (1), Elec/Elec Engineer II (1), Mechanical Engineer III (1), Elec/Elec Tech III (1), Program Project Manager III (1), Computer Engineer III (1), Design Engineer III (1), Elec/Elec Tech II (1), Elec/Elec Tech I (1), Mechanical Tech III (1), Logistician II (1), Computer Programmer III (1), Engineering Tech VI (1), Engineering Tech V (1), Tech Writer/Editor III (1), Drafter III (1), Drafter I (1), Word Processor III (1). Key personnel categories are Elec/Elec Eng. III and Logistician III. Clearance to the Secret level is required. Award will be made on the basis of “Best Value”. Evaluation criteria in descending order of importance are Technical Capability and Cost. Technical Capability sub-factors are Personnel & Past Performance and are approximately equal in importance. This solicitation will be unrestricted and is expected to be released on or about 04/13/04. For further information on this acquisition contact Eileen Emond at (401) 832-1482.
