Description

A-U. S. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Services (NESDIS), Office of Research and Applications (ORA), intends to negotiate with The University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh, Scotland to provide research for the GOES Sea Surface Temperature Algorithm impovements for operation implementation. The contractor shall undertake further research and development of the radiative-transfer based cloud screening and retrieval techniques and associated software that are operationally continuing the high-accuracy retrieval of SST in the GOES-M-Q era. This is a notice of intent, no solicitation exist. Award will be made using simplified acquisition procedures. Reference.NEED-23
