Description

Republic Ranger District Office Construction – The Forest Service is seeking bids for construction of a 6800 SF, one story office building. Also included in the project are construction and asphalt paving of access road (approx. ½ mile) and parking lots, demolition of existing office, installation of utilities, landscaping and site amenities. Trades needed are carpentry, electrical, plumbing, mechanical (HVAC), landscaping, site utilities, and finishes. Site features include an entry sign, gazebo and outside rest area. Road / site construction includes excavation, fill, grading, drainage structures, asphalt paving and road signs. Solicitation will be a sealed bid with responsibility criteria in addition to items listed in Federal Acquisition Regulations part 9. Those include a WA State certified HVAC Balancer and direct past experience in projects of equal or greater size and complexity. Also required will be a subcontracting plan submittal. Estimated cost range is between $1.0 mil and $5.0 mil. NAICS code is 236220 at $28.5 million. 100% performance and payment bonds will be required on contract award, therefore bid bonds will be required at 20% of the bid amount. Desired project start date is June 15, 2004 with completion in 330 calendar days. Project location is at Republic Ranger District facilities, 180 North Jefferson, Republic, WA, 99166. Availability on hard copy packages will be provided when the solicitation documents are posted on-line. Contractors requesting express delivery should provide vendor account numbers as appropriate. There is no set aside designation under this acquisition. Responsible and otherwise qualified contractors may submit a bid that will be considered by the Government.
