- USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service is announcing a project under the Emergency Watershed Protection (EWP) Program for Hays County. The project site is located on Haschkle Road crossing, approximately 8.2 miles SW of Wimberley, Hays County, Texas. Work consists of constructing a timber headwall along the up hill side of the road above the Haschke Road low water crossing. Steel pipe piling will be placed in drilled holes and stabilized with concrete grout. Rock and sediment will be removed from the river immediately upstream and downstream of the low water crossing. The major items of work (estimated quantities) are: river excavation; concrete curb, 30 feet long; and timber headwall. The NAICS code is 237990. The estimated price range is $25,000 to $100,000. The performance time is 73 calendar days from the receipt of the Notice to Proceed date, which will be issued approximately May 3, 2004. A payment bond or an irrevocable letter of credit, of 100% of the quote, will be required of the contractor awarded this contract. This project is set-aside for small business concerns. Quotes are due on April 20, 2004, by 4:00 P.M. CST. The site showing for this project will be held March 30, 2004 at 10:00 AM CST. The meeting location will be at the Hays County Courthouse, 111 W.
